General Care
All our garments are formal wear and therefore require maximum care when washing and wearing. Start by checking the care label, as each fabric may have different needs, and always follow the care instructions provided. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, and strong detergents, which can damage delicate fibres and dull the finish of your garment.
- Avoid rough or abrasive surfaces in our knit and woven fabrics.
- Steam to refresh and de-crease, using smooth downward strokes a few centimetres from the fabric. Steam inside out on delicate materials. Avoid resting a hot iron on jersey; if needed, iron on low heat with a pressing cloth.
- Store your ance gria pieces in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Treat stains promptly with cold water and a gentle spot clean rather than rubbing.
Floral Smocking
To care for our delicate, hand-sewn floral smocking, hand wash our delicate floral smocking in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent, soaking gently without scrubbing. Press out excess water with a towel rather than wringing, then lay flat to dry, reshaping the smocking as needed. Store on a padded hanger to prevent compacting. If the smocking loses shape, gently steam and reshape it by hand.
Jersey
Dry cleaning is recommended for our jersey material. Otherwise, gently hand wash with a mild detergent. Do not soak, wring, or twist. Gently press out excess water, lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight, and hang to steam and reshape.
Silk
Dry clean only, we recommend using a local, trusted dry cleaner. Steam gently inside out to refresh and remove creases, and keep silk away from rough or abrasive surfaces to prevent snags and pulls.
Duchess Satin
Dry clean only. Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents to spot clean, as these can mark the fabric and damage its smooth, lustrous finish. Do not machine wash.
